Kaylin has had the worst month. She began throwing up 24 hours after we returned from our trip to St. George. She threw up for 2 days and seemed to be on the mend when she began having diarrhea. She has now had diarrhea for 24 days. We have been to the doctor's office 3 times. We have done bloodwork and tested her stool. We have been able to rule out certain illnesses but can't seem to figure out what is wrong with her little system. We are going to see a pediactric GI specialist on Monday. At this point we are thinking it's a crazy virus that won't go away(most likely not), an allergy or something wrong with her intestines. I was trying to only feed her things that wouldn't upset her tummy like cheerios and bread. She went too long without regular food and her iron levels dropped significantly. You can see how pale her face is in the first picture. Her tummy has settled quite a big with soy formula. Fortunately that helps her sleep better so Mark and I are not as exhausted as we were the first few weeks. It's not okay that our sweet girl spent a month with a splint and now a whole other month with a sick tummy. We are anxious to get some answers and some relief for her little body.
One month until this sweet angel's first birthday!
