Princess Festival

After watching a play of the Cinderella story Claire stood in line to meet the star and get her signature.

Rapunzel went to lunch but we took pictures while she was gone.

We attended the Princess Festival last week along with my brother, his wife and their two princesses. Claire looked beautiful in her princess dress with fun accessories. She was a bit hesitant at first but then got excited to meet the Princesses and get their signatures. We watched plays, got lost in the mazes and had a fun picnic lunch.

Cowgirl Claire

Claire never ceases to amaze us. She was beyond excited to ride a horse and even more excited to have her Daddy watch her. She had two pony rides this week during our two visits to the Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. It surprises me how brave she is. We went to a reptile show at the Bean museum a few weeks ago. She reached out and pet a snake, lizard and turtle. She is an awesome little girl. I talked to her about the horses beforehand and without hesitation she picked her horse, was placed on the saddle and held on tight. She wouldn't smile at us as she came around because she was trying to act like it was no big deal but then we would see her little smile peak through. She was so excited! She wore her cowgirl hat and let me put her hair in a braid like Jessie from Toy Story. It still seems crazy to see my little 4 year old on top a full sized horse. Go Claire!

Farm Country

I found out how much my husband loves baby animals.
He was ready to take this calf home to raise as our fourth child.

Last night's wagon ride was pulled by a tractor instead of horses. It was fast, bumpy and windy. I pulled Sean in my lap so he wouldn't fall out. Claire's cowgirl hat blew off so we had to stop the ride to chase it down.

I took the kids down to the Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point this week. We had so much fun so we returned with our Daddy last night after work. We are falling in love with Lehi. Mark and I are enjoying all the farm land and animals. Our little neighborhood is surrounded by farms and we can hear all manner of animals when we walk outside. We loved the farm country. It included pony rides, wagon rides, horses, cows, pigs, bunnies, ducks, llamas, goats and all kinds of birds. I especially enjoyed watching Sean. He is getting to be a bigger boy and liked to get close to the animals. He liked to poke his little finger into the cages and touch the animals. He loved the wagon ride but is scared to death of the pony rides. Claire wore her cowgirl hat this time. She is so excited about her new playground that she walked with a skip in her step. Farm Country is included in our family pass so we will be returning.

Park City Adventure

Bowling in the hippest bowling alley I've ever seen. It included leather couches, a waiter, loud music and lights. Our party was made up of 6 adults and 10 kids. It was intense but we held the group together and managed to have fun. Claire and Sean LOVED the bowling. I'm not even sure if they gave their cousins any turns.

The men entertained the kids at the arcade while the woman shopped at the Carter's outlet for our two newest niece and nephew. We had too much fun browsing through baby clothes.

I woke my little family up at 7am so we could eat breakfast before swimming. We made it to the pool by 8am and had the whole place to ourselves.
This was our three kids first time in a big pool. Claire was very brave.
Luke loved his inner-tube and floated around the whole time. Claire and Sean took turns on the blow-up turtle. Sean tolerated the whole experience but wasn't too thrilled. We finished up in the hot tube where Luke took a nap on my chest. He is the sweetest baby.
Claire loved her hotel experience. She is just the right age for an adventure. I asked her what side of the bed she wanted to sleep in and her answer was "the middle".
Mark shared a bed with Claire and I shared with Sean. Sean laid on me and snuggled with me the whole night. It was so special for me to spend that time with him. Claire was very fidgety and wiggly. Mark said that he spent the night being hit and kicked by her. It looks like I picked the right kid to sleep with. They slept well and only fell out of the bed once each.
Luke slept through the night in his port-a-crib. Did I mention that he is the best baby?
Our Park City Adventure was so much fun. This was our first time leaving the house for the night with three kids. Mark and I were pleased that the kids did so well. We loved spending time with my brothers and their families. Some of my favorite parts include purchasing eight frosties from Wendy's with Rachel and having Johnson and Mason come knock on our hotel door to play. I agree with John, the breakfast buffet was the best and fun to wake up too! I can't wait to play again soon.
