New Slide

This is Claire's early birthday present. I found this slide on KSL classifieds for $25. It is $90 new in the stores. She loves her slide and said to me, "My slide is so fun."

Sean had fun playing outside with us.

Fleetwood Mac Concert

I am going to see Fleetwood Mac live in concert!! There are no words to describe how excited I am! Wednesday, June 3rd at 8pm I will be in the same room as Stevie, Lindsey, Mick and John. My sweet husband purchased tickets for me the very hour they became available. He is going to stay home with my two babies that night so I can go to the concert with my Dad. Fleetwood Mac came to town back in 1997 when I was in high school. My Dad bought me the CD "The Dance" for my birthday. I have been hooked ever since. My Dad is the biggest fan. I am so happy that I get to enjoy the concert with my Dad! 36 Days and counting.......

Random Samplings

This week Claire said, "I love Ducky!"
She also said, "I like dinosaurs" and "I like Daddy!"

Arches!!!

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Arches National Park. Mark's parents drove the new motor home down on Thursday and set up camp in the Devil's Garden campground in the park. We drove down on Friday and spent two days camping, hiking, laughing, talking and playing with Mark's parents, two siblings and their families. The trip was a great success. Claire was in Heaven! She had so much fun following her cousins around, being loved by Grandpa, hiking with Daddy and playing with all the ROCKS!! Sean was great. At three months old he doesn't care where he eats, sleeps and poops so he may as well do it in Arches. I loved being able to sit and hold him without the distraction of dishes and laundry. We spent the night in a hotel room. Claire had fun exploring her new environment and both the kids slept great. We celebrated the beautiful weather on Saturday by hiking up to Delicate Arch. It was an ambitious hike for our family that included changing a poopy diaper on a rock and nursing my baby on a log! I carried Sean in a front pack and Mark ended up carrying Claire most of the way. We may it to the top and got to see one of the most beautiful natural monuments on the Earth. We got home late last night and are spending the day recovering from our adventure. I have included lots of pictures for our own personal records. Enjoy!

Claire loved to say, "I go to Arches."

Sean tired out from all the hiking.

Eating uncooked marshmallows while Mark made some of his world famous smores.

Claire passed out two minutes into our car ride to Moab.

Naked baby fun in the hotel room.

Sleeping in the hotel. She became restless in the middle of the night so Mark climbed into bed with her. Sleeping with Daddy is Claire's dream. She was so happy.

Pancake breakfast at McDonalds. Claire spent the morning saying, "Back to Arches!"

Happy Easter!

Ready for church on Easter Sunday

Claire participated in a neighborhood egg hunt on Saturday and found one egg.
Tell me this isn't the saddest picture you have ever seen.

We gave Claire her very own Easter egg hunt in the backyard. She found the first egg, sat down, opened it and ate the candy. Claire is good at lots of things but Easter Egg hunting is not her best skill! We may have to practice for next year.

Sicky Girl

Claire has her first ear infection. She has been sick for a week and seemed to get worse with each passing day. We took to her urgent care Friday night. With one quick look in her ear, we had our diagnosis and were on our way to Walgreens for our prescription. This week has been filled with runny noses, tissues, Finding Nemo, lack of sleep and lots of patience. We have felt the responsibility of parenthood this week. I can't wait for Claire to be feeling better.
