train tables and tears

My sweet, little Sean has some developmental delays. We have been working closely with the Kids on the Move program since May. We have seen great progress in the short 6 months that we have been working with him. In the summer we began talking about autism. The word breaks my heart to pieces. Sean had begun a love affair with trains. I told Mark that if Sean received a diagnosis of autism that I was buying him his own full sized train table. After a long process of time, evaluations and tears Sean became the owner of his very own train table!

Pumpkins!

We had way too much fun carving pumpkins this year. All three kids were excited and involved with the process.
Claire and Luke drawing on their faces.
Claire picked a "scary" face this year. Her pumpkin is saying, "Boo!"

I carved Luke's happy jack-o-latern.

This is my favorite picture. It captures the fun and excitement from the day.

Sunbeam Teachers

Claire has the best Sunbeam teachers ever! Grandpa and Grandma Arnold have helped Claire have a good experience in her new ward and new primary class. Claire was having a hard time when we moved. She and I went over to the Arnold's house and they spent time getting to know her and helping her to be comfortable with them. I appreciate their efforts with Claire. She loves them and especially likes to snuggle "Grandpa" during sharing time.

The Arnolds are moving to Arizona for the winter and hosted a goodbye pizza party for their class. Sean had to get in on the snuggles!

Fall Family Photos

We played in the church field behind Grandpa's house last Sunday. I pulled out my camera and took some fun family pictures.

Claire and Daddy were watching another family shoot off rockets in the field. They were both mesmerized.

Fall Zoo Trip

Let's Go Mom and Dad!

This was the first time Sean recognized and got excited about the animals. Here he is watching the elephants.

Super excited about the giraffes

The weather was perfect and it wasn't crowded. It was a great day at the zoo!

Sprinklers!

We are proud and relieved that the sprinklers are finished. Thanks to Todd and Lyman for helping out. Mark's blood, sweat and tears are in that sprinkler system. Here are Daddy's three helpers getting excited for grass in the spring!
