After the Parade the three of us headed over to participate in Sean's Halloween party. I appreciate that Sean's teachers let me bring my other kids. Sean was thrilled to have his little brother at school with him. These two don't typically get along so it was fun for me to watch them be best buds for the afternoon. Sean told everyone that his brother was there and actually told me that Luke was "so special" which is a saying that Sean only reserves for Kaylin and me.
Luke keeps asking when he gets to go back to Giant Steps. Sean told him that he can go to school when he is "medium" and "autistic".
Sean and his teacher Miss Janeen. After over a year together Janeen has taken an administration position within Giant Steps. Sean misses her and is having a terrible time adjusting to the new changes at school.
Baby Kaylin is our 4th and possibly cutest penguin! It was fun to pull this costume out for another baby.
Kaylin choked on a candy wrapper that evening. It was pretty scary but fortunately she threw up and the wrapper came out. The kids have been better at picking up their stuff now that they have seen how scary choking can be. I also find myself repeating the phrase, "don't step on your sister." She can army crawl everywhere and it's tricky to keep her safe.
Luke's pumpkin bucket fell and had just started rolling away.
I like his expression.
Sean "Ironman" Hamblin
Sean trick or treated one street then declared himself done.
He is more of a less is more kind of guy.
Beautiful Princess Claire
I loved that she still wanted to be a princess and let me curl her hair. Claire loved Halloween but with all the creepy decorations and stories she is completely spooked all the time at home. She won't fall asleep by herself anymore and won't go into any rooms by herself anymore.Thank goodness for little brothers who help her be brave. I'm anxious for her to start to feel safer.
Pirate Lukey
Luke had a lot of fun. He loved trick or treating and was an adorable pirate.
